Smashbox Double Exposure palette

Smashbox Double Exposure palette

This is a palette I have had my eye on for some time, I own the Full Exposure palette and absolutely love it so I figured I needed to get the second one! This palette has 14 shadows and costs €45 I bought mine in Boots. The palette is mostly made up of shimmer shades, with only 3 matte shades Noir, Fig and Espresso but three very useable colours. I love the shade Fig, the matte shadows blend really well although the black is a little patchy but that was without a base. The shadows can be used wet or dry, using them wet intensifies the colours and shimmer which is really great if you like creating different looks with different textures.

The shadows feel like butter, the pigment is insane, the only one I found patchy while swathing them was the black shade but I done my swatches with no base. The shadows are really long wearing, I had no creasing with the colours I used. The quality of theses shadows are amazing with no fallout at all. I applied Urban Decay potion primer under my eyeshadow. I have very oily eyelids so it is unfair I think to test without a primer.

I like this palette but I just don’t know how often I will be reaching for it. Is it a must have palette? No, but it would be a good addition to a makeup artists kit.
