Smashbox Shape Matters palette

I done this make-up to go meet a few friends, it probably is a lot of make-up just to go sit in someone’s house but hey ho I felt like getting all dolled seeing as I don’t get out to often.

Hi Guys welcome back… Todays post is a review on the Smashbox shape matters palette and a look I done using it. Hope you enjoy….

I bought the Smashbox Shape Matters palette when it was the star buy in Boots a couple of months back and never really got to have a proper play with it. It was half price at €38 so it was such a steal. It was in demand; I couldn’t get it instore so I ordered mine online.

You can do most of your face with this one palette, it would be perfect for traveling. In the palette you get two brow shadows and a wax. The brow colours are two very natural shades. For the face there is a contour colour, bronzer, matte highlight and a shimmer highlight. The contour is a really nice shade and blends so nicely it is a very buildable colour if you wanted a strong contour. The bronze shade is more suited for lighter skins; it didn’t make much of a difference on my tanned skin but will work great for when I am my pale old self, it has a nice golden undertone so won’t look orange on fair skin. The two highlighters are beautiful and very subtle, the matte one is good for lightly highlighting under the eyes and the Glow shade is a beautiful subtle golden colour.

There are nine eye shadows, a good mixture of mattes and shimmers. All the colours are very wearable, you could easily do a whole eye look and not have to reach for another palette. Six of the shades are light/medium colours and the bottom three are darker matte shades that will smoke any look out. I had no fallout from the shadows. The pigment is fantastic, they go on so easily and blend so easily.

It is a really nice black sturdy palette which will help if you do decide to travel with it, it also has a large mirror inside the palette which is a perfect size to do your make-up with, and the thing I like most is the palette lid stays open so you don’t need to hold it if you want to use the mirror to do your make-up.

Overall I love this palette. It isn’t available on Boots.ie anymore but it is available at Arnott’s at the full price of €76.00.
